This Workshop has been approved for 5 CEUs per day
LUNCH WILL BE PROVIDED EACH DAY
One dog per handler
Event attendees are required to adhere to the NACSW COVID-19 Event Guidelines and Rules
In addition to those guidelines, we will follow the current CDC changes and guidelines, or venue requirements for this workshop due to COVID-19. Bring a facial covering , hand sanitizer, disinfectant wipes and toilet paper as the host will not be suppling these. There will be restrooms available for use at the Workshop location.
If there are any significant changes or updates after the entry period, entrants will be notified via email. Workshop attendees are responsible for staying up to date on any jurisdictional requirements for their home location as well as the workshop location including any travel guidance.
Workshop Entry Open and Closing
The workshop link on the following website: www.k9slovetosearch.com will go live on Tuesday November 1st, 2022, by 9 am pacific time. Entries will be awarded by first come first serve. You will have the option to be placed on a waitlist.
Cancellation policy
The following cancellation policy applies:
- For cancellation of entries full refund minus $25 processing fee if the host fills your space. No refund will be issued if the host is unable to fill your space. If the host must cancel the workshop due to an unforeseen event such as fire, flood or other unforeseen occurrence, the host will issue a partial refund after required workshop expenses have been paid.

SITE CONDITIONS
ADA Site Specific Conditions
This Workshop location is a working ranch/camp. The parking lot is a rough dirt lot, and the pathways and search areas may require you to navigate gravel roads, dirt pathways and rough terrain. The ranch/camp is in the hills and the search areas and parking are spread out, so there may be moderate walks to the search areas that will involve moderate elevation changes. The entries into search areas may have moderately steep rustic wooden stairs, and rough wooden walkways into the search areas. The search areas may have concrete, carpet, and/or hard packed dirt and grass. This is a working ranch with horses, turkeys, chickens, sheep, goats, and other farm animals in pens on the property. There are working dogs and working cats on the property
PARKING
The parking lot is small and packed dirt with no shade.
Reactive Dog Parking
There will not be reactive dog parking
Unentered Dogs
Unentered dogs must remain in the attendee’s vehicle during the trial day. There will be ample potty areas, but unentered dogs will not be allowed to “play”, exercise, or train at the venue.
RV Parking
There is no space for RVs to park
Crating Options
We will be working out of the cars, all dogs must be crated or secured in the vehicle

Dog Policies
- All dogs must be on a 6’ leash at all times when not running a search. NO flexi-leashes while not participating in the Workshop.
- Dogs that need space from dogs may wear a red bandana, provided by the dog’s handler, to help signal others that the dog needs extra space from dogs.
- Dogs will be toileted in designated areas and handlers must pick-up and dispose of waste.
- Workshop attendees should expect to keep their dogs confined in a crate or vehicle when not participating in a search, or during debriefs. Workshop attendees should plan to provide their own shade using canopies or shade cloths.
Females in Season
Will be allowed to run wearing “pants”.
Liability
By registering for the Workshop, the attendee hereby assumes all risks of, and responsibility for, accidents and/or damage to her/himself or to her/his property or to others, resulting from the actions of her/his dog. The attendee expressly agree that the host, Linda Buchanan and her assignees or any other person, or persons, of said groups, shall not be held liable personally, or collectively, under any circumstances, for injury, and/or damage to her/himself, for loss or injury to property, whether due to uncontrolled dogs or negligence of any member of said groups, or any other cause, or causes. The workshop attendee also agrees to assume all financial liability that may be incurred by the HOST due to the actions of themselves or their dogs regardless of the cause
Spectators
No spectators, but there are Auditing spot available. If you show up with an extra person in your car, they will be considered an Auditor, and will pay the Auditor fee.
Videotaping and Photography
There is no photography or video allowed.
